Join us on a pruning project!
We invite experienced pruners to take part in these projects, and we invite others to join us to learn best practices. We provide supervised training and can always use help moving the cut branches and consolidating them in ways that create new wildlife habitat.
CATS has pruned the trees at these local sites: Crozet Park, Schenks Greenway, Greenleaf Park, Ivy Creek Natural Area, and Darden Towe Park. We have also pruned trees at a number of schools: Walker Elementary School, Jackson Via Elementary School and Jackson Burley Middle School. Other public properties where we have pruned are: Vietnam War Memorial, John Warner Parkway, Berkmar Drive, the Route 20 Gateway and the Virginia Department of Forestry at Fontaine Park.
