View our invasive-removal events [TBD], and feel free to register to join us.

At local public schools, in local public woodlands and along sections of the Rivanna Trail, we remove invasives with low-tech approaches—hand pulling and cutting with pruning tools. Tree Stewards supply hand tools, train on tool safety and invasive plant identification and work side-by-side with volunteers to ensure accurate, effective, and safe work.

Frequent sites for invasive control visits include: Ragged Mountain Nature Area, Jackson Via Elementary School, Walker Elementary School, Ivy Creek Nature Center, the UVA campus, Greenleaf Park, Jackson Burleigh Middle School, Schenks Park, John Warner Parkway, the Vietnam War Memorial, Berkmar Drive, Northeast Park, Pen Park, Rivanna Park, Rivanna Trail, Department of Forestry, and the YMCA.
