Volunteer with us on a tree planting project!

Our plantings are either on public property or at the streetside in neighborhoods that have few trees such as Belmont and 10th and Page in Charlottesville and we have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to plant trees where they construct new homes. We have large plantings in the median of Route 20 as you enter Charlottesville, and in McIntyre and Darden Towe Parks, the Ivy Creek Natural Area, Chris Greene Lake Park in Albemarle County, Mint Springs in Crozet and Pleasant Grove Park in Fluvanna County. We also planted and maintain an arboretum at the Virginia Department of Forestry at Fontaine Park.

In addition to planting trees, we also have three forest restoration sites: Greenleaf Park, Jackson Via Elementary School and a site off Barracks Road on the Rivanna Trail.
