In the upcoming year, the Charlottesville Area Tree Stewards will be offering several guided tree walks for the public in various parks and natural areas around the Charlottesville area, including Ivy Creek, McIntire Botanical Garden, and Riverview Park.
Don’t feel qualified to lead a walk? Tree Stewards can join the Train-the-Trainer Tree Walk program to learn how to lead walks. Apprentice trainers will go on several walks with trained Tree Stewards to learn from them how they choose an area for a walk, identify interesting trees, and get tips on presentation techniques and preparing handouts.
