CATS has been selling trees since 2012 both in the Spring and Fall. We sell between 300 to 400 trees. CATS purchases trees and gets donated trees for the sale. Jay Gillenwater has allowed us space in his nursery to store potted trees and his staff maintains them through the summer. In recent years CATS has partnered with Master Gardeners Spring Plant sale for increased sales potential. The sale makes money for CATS to use to purchase insurance and tools as well as reserve classroom space. The goal is to increase the canopy as we see development diminish our tree cover. Workday volunteers are needed on the day of the sale and at potting parties in preparation for the sale.
