Tree Stewards Tom Wild and Donna Vinal led a tree identification walk on the trails of the future McIntire Botanical Garden on Saturday, May 11. They pointed out a variety of native trees and showed how to identify them using their leaves, bark, twigs, buds, seed casings, nuts, and many other features. This walk also showed how the site of the future botanical garden is evolving. Donna and Tom will lead another walk here in the fall. Check our event calendar later for the next opportunity.
